17) I tried to make myself like this -- really I did -- but I hate this strip. I hate Fred Gallagher too. I used to think I hated him because he was a better artist than me and I wanted to draw a big shiny universally-adored manga too, but then I realized I hate him because he's all emo and his work sucks. His characters look like sleepy-eyed dolls, his stories are lame, and the whole SI business has never sat well with me.

21) Signed. Oh god I hope they don't ruin it. The people who made the movie, that is; I'm far more worried about them. Fandom is easy to ignore, but a physical representation of canon? They made Mrs. Coulter's hair the wrong color, but they chose someone incredible to play her, so they could go either way...
