If "forcibly stealing the body of a woman whose soul he then trapped in the form of an elderly vegetative woman who was helpless to tell anybody what was done to her" counts as all that then yeah I guess you could say he can do that

(Anonymous) 2012-08-27 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
He has his own non-Sif female form.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-27 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
He does really? I need to get caught up then, where is this?

(Anonymous) 2012-08-27 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Not in the comics, as far as I know, in the mythology.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-27 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Doesn't count :(

(Anonymous) 2012-08-27 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
To each their own.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-27 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
How is it "to each their own" when the OP of the secret is clearly not talking about that Loki?

(Anonymous) 2012-08-27 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
FFS, myth!Loki is not the same, when we're talking CANON as it's already been created. If we're talking FANON, then go for your life.

I'm not convinced Marvel!Loki would ever willingly engage in cock & ball torture for a laugh, and am not about to cite myth to "prove" that he would.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-27 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Your interpretation of "canon" is laughable, seeing as Marvel Movie Universe and Marvel Comics do not overlap fully, and mythos is often used to plug any holes (eg Thor). Calm thy tits.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-27 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
When you consider all the interpretations of Loki ever out there, Marvel's can be conglomerated for the purposes of a broad characterisation. They might seem fairly different within Marvel, but fairly similar compared to other Lokis. And none of the Marvel Lokis would be into CBT, I maintain :p

As to the reader's question of "where did this happen in canon", "well it happened in myth" is apropros to not much.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-27 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, he does in the comics. This is one instance: http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Loki%20Sorcery/LokiShapeshifting18WolverineWendigo1.jpg

This thread has a whole list of Loki's powers and stuff he can shapeshift into, as sourced by the comics: http://www.comicvine.com/loki/29-4324/loki-respect-thread/92-643269/

I didn't even know about that issue, huh. I'm gonna have to look that one up.

I think anon also assumed the secret maker meant the "Lady Loki" that was on the secret.

And that form... was a horse.

There's still people who'd be attracted to "male dude female horse" option. But lets not project onto OP that one undualy.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-28 01:10 pm (UTC)(link)
In mythology, Loki spent several years as a milkmaid on Midgard.

And in Thyrmskvida, it was siad Loki was convincing as Freyja's maid because he was used to acting as a woman.

.. okay yeah, i forgot about the milkmaid part. I amend my previous statement:

There are still furries out there who'd be attracted to "male dude female horse" option. But lets not project onto OP that one undualy.

In the Marvel Universe Wiki, the official source for Marvel character bios, Loki is listed as being a shapeshifter as well as a sorcerer. So yes, it is canon that he could switch to a female form if he wished to. And from what I recall, there was a single panel in one of the 'Thor' issue from the 1990s where Loki shifted to a female form. I'm not digging through my comics to find it, but it's there.
