Actually, I always felt that saying Reshiram was 'girly' was the wrong because it's the White Yang Pokémon (in Japanese, at least), so it represents the light, hard, masculine half of duality. Zekrom's the Black Yin Pokémon, so it's everything dark, soft and feminine.

And yet, Reshiram has a "soft" design and Zekrom's is "hard", so they both represent bits of both parts at the same time. They both represent duality, whilst being two halves of a whole.

But as far as I'm concerned, Reshiram is definitively masculine-looking (crotch-fluff!) and Zekrom is more feminine- the chest plates look a bit like a bra if you look close!

Not to mention Reshiram's movie song mentions birth, and Zekrom's death. To add to the Yang/Yin aspect. I linked their designs to being each other's 'eyes,' too (white in black, black in white). The hard of yang/Reshiram also works in that Reshiram is a lot pointier than Zekrom - less soft/smooth, if you will, even if it has feathers.

I didn't notice Zekrom's plate bra but now I can't unsee.
