Heh, I signed up for Kink Bingo, and my card is awesome. A few kinks that aren't my personal preference, but I feel like I can get into the head of a character long enough to write it.

So because I'm insane, I'm trying to do a black out :D

Anyone else doing/has done Kink Bingo?

I did a kink bingo last year. :) It was actually pretty fun, but I didn't get any of the bingos because of the way the kinks were arranged. I wish it was more like some of the other bingo cards where you could specify like ten things that you absolutely do not want on there.

Yeah, I finished my first KB card earlier this month. I got a new card, but I have other bingos to work on first before I deal with it. I may have one of the other bingos done by tomorrow, then I'll be on to the third one, which I haven't even started.

I'd like to do an achievement bingo with underrepresented characters. (-:

I would totally sign up for underrepresented character bingo.

(I've never done Kink Bingo because I don't write that much kink. I'm on my second Cotton Candy Bingo card though.)

Dude, an "underrepresented character bingo" sounds like something I'd be VERY into. I have no idea how they'd decide what's "underrepresented" though.

It would probably have to be on the honor system, considering the multi-fandom nature of most "bingo" communities, but then someone's bound to say Kurt from Glee or Loki or someone is underrepresented. (Not trying to pick on those fandoms, just picking the most popular characters I can think of.)

My post below explains it. It's not specific characters, it's types of characters; like disabled characters (character with mental conditions count, like the autistic Gary Bell from Alphas), older characters, asexual characters, and a few others.

Ooh, gotcha, so underrepresented types of characters. That would be really awesome, too.

Yeah! I have a new kink_bingo card and I'm trying to figure out how to work in the characters I'd like to use. Gary Bell, Daniel Pierce from Perception, Sherlock as an asexual character; maybe even Hiccup from How To Train Your Dragon as a solo-kink thing...

Oh, the underrepresented thing is a thing you do on kink_bingo. It's stuff like older characters, fat characters, asexuals, people with disabilities/mental issues, POCs, and trans*/genderqueer characters.

I'm on the cotton candy_bingo comm, too! That's the one I haven't started. The hurt/comfort_bingo is the one I'm almost done with. I have one last fic; I'm gonna have my beta look it over tonight, and I'll get it posted tonight or tomorrow.

I really love bingo comms; they're a great mix of prompts (which really help get my creative juices flowing), reasonable deadlines (you usually have about half a year if you sign up when it opens), and very few strict rules (500 words minimum, fill the prompt, the story should fit the basic idea of the comm... that's usually about it). It's a really good fic writing tool, imo.

Oh, I get it now. I didn't know about that because I've never done kink bingo. Thanks. (And that makes more sense than what I said, sorry about that.)

I'm having so much fun with Cotton Candy Bingo. I've been having a lot of life upheaval and wasn't writing and it's really helped me get creative and helped my mood too.

Yeah, writing fluff is a nice way to cheer yourself up. (-:

This is my second KB, and right now I have a blackout and a few extras. Actually, I'm going to work on a square soon, in between two big bangs. \o/

I signed up for a "fluff bingo" recently, but I haven't had a chance to write anything for it yet because I've been super busy.

I WANT TO DO A BLACKOUT TOO, THOUGH. FIGHTO!

I've done Kink Bingo for three years. By that I mean I sign up for a card only to forget about it until the amnesty period is about to end, and then make one or two things so I can sign up for another card.

But this year, I'm determined to get a bingo within the official scoring period. I haven't finished anything yet, but at least I've started writing instead of thinking about writing, which is kind of a big deal for me. :P

I'm working on my card! I'm trying for a line bingo. Honestly, I'm not really trying for anything more than that. I'm not a very fast writer, so finishing five fics will feel like enough of an achievement. But maybe I'll have time to write more during amnesty.

I'm working on a bondage fic and a prostitution/sex work fic right now.

Since the length requirement for fic is only 500 words, I'm just doing a bunch of tiny ones, with a couple fade-to-blacks. Cheap cop-out, yes, but damn it, I will have a blackout!

I think I'm going to go for a mix of lengths. The fic I'm working on now is a little involved, and is probably going to be at least a couple thousands words once it's finished. But I like the idea of writing some shorter one-shots, too.
