Pale lumps on my lips

About a month ago I noticed that my top lip had a line of small, pale raised lumps that extends down to the corners of my bottom lip too. They aren't large or pale enough to be immediately visible yet, but over the last month I think they've multiplied and they're starting to feel very gross when I lick my lips. Does anyone know what they are or how to get rid of them?

FWIW I lick my lips a lot, I bite them quite a lot, and I sort of gnaw on them when I'm thinking as well, which I think is likely to be the problem, but since becoming aware of it I've been unable to stop.

I lick, bite and gnaw on my lips a lot and I don't have those.

If it's possible, you might want to see a doctor or maybe a dermatologist?

Sounds like you might have Fordyce spots?

ETA: If so, they're very common, they can show up on your lips or on your genitals, but afaik there's no cheap easy way to get rid of them. Here's a quick Wiki link, for some basic info.

Slightly related, but THANK YOU. This has been plaguing me because I think I have these too... on my labia. ;_; I'm not sexually active, so I've been in a bit of a panic. They tend to come and go, but never quite fully disappearing.

I'm sorry to ask but in case you know, are they supposed to hurt? It's not painful to touch them but for a while I thought they were zits and squeezing them is PAINFUL. :/

No prob, anon! I know how it is, haha.

And (with the disclaimer that I'm not a medical professional, etc. etc.) they're supposed to be asymptomatic as long as you're not bothering them (so if they started hurting before you squeezed them, it might not be a bad idea to have that checked out) but the internet + my own experience says squeezing them will definitely/i> make them hurt, so that's normal.
