Thank you. I'm tired of having to sift through garbage. Just because I started out writing poorly doesn't mean that I didn't sit down and learn from good examples. So maybe when the noobs start learning some grammar (or even how to use a beta), I'm going to be on the lookout for sites and communities that only allow quality work. I'm not saying that I'm the next Jane Austen, but at least I know how to use spell check and where to put commas and have a decent grasp on the subjects I'm writing about, and if I don't, I use this nifty site called google.

Exactly. When it comes to fanart, there are plenty of group galleries on dA and they all have different approaches to what kind of work they let in. Some have very strict quality standards and some post every single scribble that is submitted. So it's easy to decide what kind of group you want to follow. No-one (well, almost no-one) cries there about entitlement or elitism when the quality groups decline submissions that are not considered good enough.
