Yeah I used to watermark but I stopped because I don't like the ascetics of watermarks and actually if you google my name, you can very easily find me. I may need to start watermarking again though.

I wish I could put a clickable link on all my images because I think that would be the only thing that would truly solve it.

I think you can if you make the images clickable links in a "text" post, if I remember right, but it's more of a hassle to upload them that way. (The method I've seen is: upload each as images, viewable only to you, then check your tumblelog to see their url and use that to insert them in a text post. I don't know if that's what everyone does. It was too time-consuming, compared to how quick it is to post things on tumblr!)

you meant this: "Aesthetics" not ascetics. right?

I said ascetics, I meant ascetics. Yeah I'm sick of those uppity watermarks and their self-denial. WHAT'S UP NOW?????!!!!

Could you do something like put your name as a sort of copyright acknowledgment at the bottom of the image? I don't know if that's as secure as a watermark (might be easier to crop it out, though it would pretty much require intentional deceptiveness to do so), but I see this a lot, and I think it's a little less obtrusive than a watermark.
