Don't be nervous. Just remember to pick a topic that you absolutely love, and will love it even while wanting to burn everything down to the archives you'll be using and the computer which holds all your chapters.

I at least managed to pick a topic I really love, and would talk for hours about. And I love doing the actual research. It's the writing where I just wanna throw my hands up in the air and sob like a baby.

YES! Exactly! Research is amaaaaaaazing. Writing is like pulling teeth. Well. Research is like eating the most delicious ice cream ever. Writing is like going to the dentist after you've eaten the ice cream. You know you have to do it and that it's good for you. But it's still a dentist!

SO MUCH THIS.

If I could just sit around and talk to my professors about my love of the subject of thesis, I would have passed already. But instead I have to prove that I can argue in some sort of literary form.

My problem is I like research too much. I'm still researching, even though I'm nearly done. Its some sort of horrible but awesome curse.

Thanks :) I'm still tossing up whether or not to actually do a dissertation (it can be done entirely by coursework and work placement, if necessary), so I'll have a good think about a topic.
