Re: Grimm

I do. I think I actually watch it to complain about it, because Nick is just...urgh. So everyone says he's an amazing Grimm and amazing detective and there is no evidence for either of those things. And there's like a substantial plot hole or continuity error each episode (the hiker, what the hell? Why didn't Nick look up in the trees after he'd just read that those organ harvesters hide in trees? Why does Renard seem like he's supposed to be a bad guy but spend most of his time trying to keep the good guy alive/happy?)

AFRVFVHFEWF;;. Who am I kidding? I love it, even when it's terrible. XDDD

AYRT

You...are basically me. :D

I watch for the same reason. Like, in the last episode, I was basically shouting, "Nick, you're a detective, YOU FORGOT YOUR GUN. AND WHAT ABOUT THE SHELL CASINGS?" at my TV. I'm not even in law enforcement; I just really like procedural shows, but even I know a detective shouldn't incriminate himself so easily. It's so...fun, though. I love it despite, or maybe because of, its failings.

And, yeah, a amazing detective/Grimm Nick is not. That's the whole point. Isn't he kind of new to both, which explains it? I remember Hank saying Nick's his new partner, but has good instincts, so maybe he hasn't been a detective longer than a year or two. Three, max.

Yay, I have found a fellow Grimm lovehater! :DDD

Yeah, last episode. If you have a gun in law enforcement, you cannot just replace it with another one--they record the serial numbers so this doesn't happen. So, yeah, the episode would have been "The bullet doesn't match this gun, but it's also not your gun. Lolol cough it up, Nick."

I wouldn't mind him being bad at things, either, except people keep saying he's an amazing detective and...nope. How many cases does he solve only because he can see wesen? Seriously, it's weird. XD

Series-wise, I like all the characters though. The female characters especially don't get killed off without reason, Hank and Monroe are fun, and I LOVE Renard's sort of fail!villain role. It's like popcorn, this show, and I will watch it until it ends. :)

I thought that, too, during the ep, because I'd seen something similar in another procedural, but that character couldn't get away with simply tossing his gun aside. There are so many research flubs! I guess people just want Nick to be competent, just as many wish Renard could be a brilliant villain who's always ten steps ahead of everyone, but LOL. No.

I agree, though, I like them how they are. All of the characters are interesting, though I wish some - Juliette, for example - would get a bit more development, beyond simply being Nick's love interest. ...But, I'm gonna keep watching till it ends, too.
