i started taking japanese when i was in sixth grade because my goal was to be a game designer and i thought learning a language would be a good way of getting into the industry. i also really love languages.

but this was all before i realised that 1) western games (which are what i almost always play and want to make) are independent of the japanese industry's influence and 2) the game industry looks for a variety of majors and studies. i've slowly lost interest in japanese over the years but i feel like i've gotten so far that i might as well stick with it. i'm not very happy with it though.

my entire school career has been full of mistakes though, so...
