For me it's always come naturally. I find myself drawn to a certain character in a show and then something just clicks and it's like I welded them to my brain. Suddenly they're my muse and inspiration and that's usually what kickstarts me to go looking for some fic, or writing stuff of my own.

It's really fun!

weirdly enough, if I end up having a dream about said character that usually seals the deal. don't ask.
