California dialect, yeah! It's very similar to Standard American English, similar enough that you probably wouldn't tell the difference if you didn't study a bit of linguistics. Probably the biggest difference is the lack of /ɔ/ (e.g. the so-called "cot-caught merger," in which most people distinguish the pronunciations of the vowels of "cot" and "caught," while for us Californians, they sound the same).
