POC can be SJW, too. The first film did cast a key role that hadn't been specified as POC to be a POC, and as far as the entirety of the cast went, it was hardly overwhelmingly white. I don't really see how Hunger Games can be accused of being problematic in terms of race, besides the auditioning only white actors for Katniss thing.

I have a hard time trusting whether people are talking about actual SJWs or just people who talk about issues that affect their lives and get labeled as SJWs because they made others feel uncomfortable.

I have limited internet access, but there are several places that explain why the books lose their significance without a poc lead.

Are you talking about Rue when you say a key role in the first film, or Cinna?

Rue was explicitly stated to be black, but Cinna never was, so ayrt must be talking about him.

Where? All I remember him being described as was having close-cropped brown hair, brown eyes, and gold eyeliner. A lot of fans interpreted that to be someone like Lee Pace.

By the time the Mockingjay movie is released all the central characters will be white unless they do something like make Coin a POC. You might not have an issue with that but other people do.

I found it very interesting that both the Capital and District 11, although in no way specified to be, had both whites and blacks in the crowds. Although I believe there would be too much ethnic mixing by that point for such strong differences to exist (Panem is in what is now the US, a country roughly 72% white, 13% black, and 13% Hispanic, making it highly likely that too many people would look noticeably like what we would consider POC), I found it an intriguing choice on the movie's part.

Except they can't. SJWs are people who appropriate a social minority's struggles.

The term SJW has fallen in the way of Mary Sue: it's primarily used against people who dared to harsh the squee nowadays that I just roll my eyes at every SJW accusation and immediately think that the accuser is just some butthurt fan unless there's actual proof.

Lmao, thank you for ironically providing the SJW's definition of SJW.

A SJW is anyone who is obsessed with social issues to the point of being obnoxious, not helpful, and resorting to hypocritical, name-calling, "IF YOU DON'T KNOW YOU SHOULD LOOK IT UP YOURSELF" and if you disagree "YOU ARE DISGUSTING PERSON AND SHOULD DIE." etc. And there's appropriating, and then there's - which I've seen among various SJW communities frequently - a non-minority person says something is sad and they wish they could help, answered with SJWs who say HOW DARE YOU APPROPRIATE OUR SADNESS, YOU DISGUSTING ASSWIPE.

POC can definitely be SJW. Plus, news to you, apparently, race isn't the only SJ issue. How about feminism, LGBT issues, etc. Even by your definition a POC can be a SJW of say, gay rights.

When people get defensive of SJW, I assume they're butthurt SJWs btw. :D

+1 not to mention the levels my blood pressure hit. when I read in one of these F!S threads that SJWs have appropriated the term spoons for their own usage as TAB.

They're all codependent Orwellian oppressors, who seek to instill THEIR OWN form of oppression, which they ironically claim is to "end" oppression.

And, for the SJWs about to pile into this thread with flames and fury, I am a PWD, but I should not have to clarify that on the Internet (which was supposed to be the great social leveler, not the stratification system(s) you people want to impose onto it), just to avoid being dogpiled for my hatred of you.

You are all, collectively, like every single, smothering, codependent, useless, and ultimately sabotaging, RL social worker I have ever had the misfortune to have to deal with. All of you, every last one of you, can go DIAF. Quickly. Please.
