Do you have firefox? I couldn't find anything either, so I just searched for Java in the search tab and then clicked on my plugins and there it was.

Yep, Firefox. I looked in Firefox's plugins but I don't see Java in there, either. Maybe I really don't have it?

Did you try to search for it in the search bar? As I said, I didn't see any Java in the main plugin list, but once I searched I found three Java plugins.

I searched for it in the address bar, which sent me to Google, but I'm guessing that's probably not what you mean...? Where do I find the search bar? (Unless you mean the Windows search bar in the start menu--I tried there.)

Did you check both Tools/Add-ons/Extensions and Tools/Add-ons/Plugins? I have Java extensions disabled and apparently that was enough to make FF secure.

Edit: secure by the standards of the Java exploit check website Case linked to above.

Yep, it's missing from both and when I search I just get an "install" button so I guess I'm good. Thanks for the help!

When you open the plugin manager, there's a "search for plugins" search bar.

Found it, thanks! I've got an "install" button instead of some sort of "disable" button, so it looks like I've just never downloaded it somehow. Whew, safe! Thanks anon!
