I am such an introvert, it might as well be my species! I once told my life story to Boo Radley and all he could say was "Damn, girl; get out the house!" Mr. Rogers comes to me when he needs an idea for a new imaginary friend. If you want to get to my house you first must make it past the guard-cats.

I'm serious. Also, how you described introvertedness is perfect. Feeling drained around people and needing some time to recharge. Although, I don't necessarily need to be absolutely alone to stop feeling drained, being around people who don't stress me out is just fine.

And just a side note: but I would have enjoyed summer camps a lot better if they had been tuned for introverts a bit more. I understand why they didn't want us kids in the cabins without an adult there. Maybe they could have put introverted adult volunteers to supervise the cabins so the introverted kids could read in bed once they'd had their fill of activities? Just a suggestion! Ah, camp issues.
