So you're actually agreeing that it's not that she's included because she a noblewoman? Why say that then?

Maturity does not only lie in sexuality y'know. Jasmine obviously is a teenager, nobody would ever guess Meg's supposed to be only 18. All the Disney Princesses have parents (sort of), she doesn't (for example).

1. Because noblewomen wear the fancy dresses.

2. You're now pulling out 'Having a Parent'? In a Disney movie? Snow White = dead parents, same with Cinderella, Aurora's parents are absent, Belle's mother is dead and father is a completely unparental child-mind, same with Jasmine. And Belle's plenty mature.

3. Meg's a great character but there's pretty much no way to put her in the Princess category.

1. That didn't sound like that at all.

2. Which is why I said sort of, thanks for reading. Snow White has mother figure, even if she's evil, same with Cindarella. Bella has a father and a great bond with him at that, same with Jasmine. We all know where they come from.

3. I don't care? I'm just tired of the same ol' semantics debate.

[Edit]
Forgot to add, don't remember Aurora at all so I can't really talk about that, but wiki says her father narrates the beginning so that works too.

"Bella"? Bella Swan is not a Disney princess. D=

Jokes. XD Probably a spelling mistake?

My mistake, I could've sworn she had been included in the line by now :/

(But yeah,I can't correct that misleading typo anymore. Damn. %D)

Twilight isn't even owned by Disney!

Wait... what? How does that = "more mature" or whatever point it is you're trying to make? Are you even trying to make a point anymore? Your logic is getting pretty loopy.

I wasn't saying that Aurora was more mature? Are you a little confused?

Before this gets further, I'm messing with you, so no need to answer. I'm not going to argue with someone who just resorts to getting insulting instead of trying to, you know, debate.

I'm not sure what you were saying ever reached the level of 'debate,' but suit yourself.

(Anonymous) 2012-09-01 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
You two were definitely debating, but I'm not sure what the heck you were debating about. It was really confusing.

I'm a bit confused myself. It started as "Meg's not a princess" and veered into weird "because she's got no parents and is too mature" territory.

"Because noblewomen wear the fancy dresses."

ahahahahaha only noblewomen wear fancy dresses? yeah right. lbr. if you were rich enough, you buy and wear fancy dresses. heck, if you were really rich you'd need bodyguards! mulan didn't have bodyguards, ergo her family was not all that rich, ergo her fancy dress is actually not all that fancy. lol!

(Anonymous) 2012-09-01 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
You make a good point that noble =/= rich, especially when you include the more general definitions of noble which include landed gentry which might not be all that landed.

I'd go on, but I've had to go back and fix one out of three words for typos so far, so I'm going to stop.

(Anonymous) 2012-09-01 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
landed gentry is a british social class, which got nothing to do with mulan anyway

Meg is only eighteen?!

I thought she was at least in her late twenties.

THE MORE YOU KNOW.

I just googled it because I too was certain she'd be over twenty, but apparently she's supposed to be as old as Hercules. Now I can't find the site and the disney wiki doesn't cite sources.
