Stupidity on Tumblr, what a surprise

I am just so done with my favorite fandom on tumblr. There's a particular person that likes to stir up shit - and we've all been there - but then the sheer amount of hate they get for it is ridiculous. I've seen calls for them to delete, to hurt themselves, and to kill themselves.

I might not agree with this person much but I can see where they get frustrated with the fandom and the faults of the canon. None of that warrants the sheer vitriol that I've seen directed at them.

I realize it's because tumblr's median user age seems to be thirteen, but still. Jesus christ, it makes me want to punch my fist through my monitor. Do they really not realize how damaging words can be? It frustrates the hell out of me, I don't even know what to do.
