I finally found some fics based on a specific narrative kink/trope in my main fandom (it's massively popular in another fandom that I'm just barely in, but of course, super rare in the fandom that I'm the most into) and none of them are about my OTP. Even though I know it's dumb, I can't help but be annoyed.

Rewrite it! Or if it's unspecific enough, find+replace.

Yeah, I might just write something myself. In the majority of the fics I've found it'd be completely OOC to just find and replace and I'd feel weird about rewriting someone else's fic, but I might write my own. I know there's at least one other person in the fandom looking for the same trope/pairing I am so I know at least she'd read it, but I've never written fanfic (and can never finish anything when I write original fic) so I'm not sure.

Now I'm curious. What fandom/pairing/trope?
