Notes:

Important: I'm really sorry about this, but I accidentally misclicked and deleted the submission post from last week instead of saving it. Managed to save the first page (25) of secrets, but the rest (about 100 or so) are gone.

If you submitted something last week (Aug 26-Sept 1), please resubmit it here.

The submissions post for next week is below as usual.

Secrets Left to Post: ?? pages, ??? secrets from Secret Submission Post #296.

Loki in Thor > Natasha

(Anonymous) 2012-09-03 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope. Thor was basically Loki throwing a tantrum because he found out he was adopted, trying to start a war that he'd already seen his brother cast out for trying to start, because of an inferiority complex.

What we know about Natasha: she worked for the bad guys, killing people, and was very good at it. SHIELD sent Clint to kill her, but he didn't. She joined SHIELD and now she's trying to make up for everything she did in the past.

Who trained her? Who did she kill? Are any of those people going to want revenge at some point? What about her made Clint decide not to kill her? Why didn't she just kill him when he didn't kill her? Why did she join SHIELD? What happened during all those incidents? Who did she work for before? Is love really for children, or does she love someone? Clint? The Winter Soldier? Someone else? Does she really think she can make up for everything she's done?

Natasha>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Loki

lol, no. I know it's cool to diminish things you don't like. I get it. But dismissing Loki's characterization out-of-hand while acting as if Black Widow is some deep, complex character is pretty pathetic.

It's a comic book movie. NONE of the characters are deeper than they appear.

There's a reason Natasha and Clint didn't get their own set-up films for the 'Avengers.' Prior to the film's release, there was no way to make either of those characters engaging enough to sustain a whole film. Perhaps Marvel might be able to do something starring either of them now, but they're minor characters, unpowered people in a super-powered universe.

Any Super-Powered Marvel Hero/Heroine>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Romanov or Barton.

See? I can make my opinion look like fact, too.

Um, no? It's actually exactly the opposite. In comic book movies all characters are deeper than they appear because the screenwriters adapt their character from decades of continuity to fit 2 hours of screentime. That's a big reason why I like comic book movies so much more than most action movies.

LOL You're cute.

Because you need your favorite characters to be all flash and bang does not mean everyone else has to agree with you. The challenge of being a superhero without all that flashy magic/tech/whathaveyou is very interesting to MANY fans.

But whatever, anon. Have fun with your dismissal of the only female (and on that note, only POC character, since you can't possibly find Nick Fury interesting either since OMG HE CAN'T BLOW SHIT UP WITH HIS EYE OR ANYTHING!) character we've been introduced to. Bravo.

So, you think Batman is boring too, amirite? I mean, at least compared to Superman, the Green Lantern, Wonderwoman, The Flash, and, oh, Aquaman.
