When you're writing a story that needs to be a certain length, and easily reaching it with plenty of story to go.
A fandom secret that makes you go, "OMG, I feel that way, too! I'm not alone!".
Watching something you've seen 100 times, and discovering something new about it (a neat background detail you've missed, a reference/joke you finally get, etc.).
