I love how everyone in this thread is pretending like they don't laugh at terrible fiction.

It's totes ok if you do it behind the author's back tho amirite.

OP doesn't say whether or not she didn't at least try not to laugh, I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say she probably tried but didn't make it, or else it wouldn't be a secret. Somebody that would laugh openly and rudely would probably also just tell the guy his writing sucks, js.

plenty disagree actually. You would not believe the amount of comments I've seen people write saying how a group of friends laughing at bad fanfiction in private, without even telling the author is bad. "It's a waste of time! Immature!" and I'm like, Come on!
