To be honest I think Cersei and Jaime had the same journey (parallel in a lot like Arya and Sansa), but Cersei had the misforten of starting hers one book later than him. Plus I think honestly their dynamic was always unbalanced. Cersei could have lived without Jaime, I don't know if she loved him as much as he loved her. She tried with Robert. She wanted to marry Rhaegar. Whereas Jaime has never loved another (you know, until arguably Brienne). And now their dynamic is sort of shifting again, because Cersei only has him to rely on and he's moved on from her in a way. So it's tragic and awesome and I kind of hope that since they can't have their happy endings they go down in flames together. Is that shipping them? Possibly.

I like this analysis. I like it a lot.
