yay soccer! well, as far as choosing a team, it depends! Each country has its own league (whose seasons start at different dates) and each league usually has a handful of really, really worldwide popular teams with a bunch of other teams that nobody cares for unless they're from that city or something. I guess choosing a team depends on a couple of factors including what players you like, what style of soccer you like watching, what club histories/philosophies you feel drawn to. Often people are drawn to a certain club after watching their national team play at the World Cup and looking into the clubs that the players are from. I'm a fan of fc barcelona so I'm most familiar with la liga. Now and then I'll watch an EPL game or a Serie A game if it's on T.V. but I don't really support or follow any other teams. On LJ there's ontd_football and if you're interested in streaming games you can find them at atdhe or rojadirecta. Fox Soccer usually broadcasts games but only a select few so depending on what team you want to watch it can be a frustrating experience trying to find it on TV. XD (um, I think there are other channels as well but I don't have them)
