Notes:

Important: I'm really sorry about this, but I accidentally misclicked and deleted the submission post from last week instead of saving it. Managed to save the first page (25) of secrets, but the rest (about 100 or so) are gone.

If you submitted something last week (Aug 26-Sept 1), please resubmit it here.

The submissions post for next week is below as usual.

Secrets Left to Post: ?? pages, ??? secrets from Secret Submission Post #296.
Secrets Not Posted: [ 0 - broken links ], [ 0 - not!secrets ], [ 0 - not!fandom ], [ 0 - too big ], [ 0 - repeat ].
Current Secret Submissions Post: here.
Suggestions, comments, and concerns should go here.

I think you're either reading what I said wrong or I'm reading your argument wrong.

I believe I read what you wrote incorrectly. I thought that you were saying that the need to remove oneself is an indication of childishness. It seems that that is not the case.

You're really reaching here anon.

Perhaps, but most people aren't aware. Most people believe that there is a fundamental order and that they can influence it. It effects individuals to various degrees; you have some who simply try to control those around them, and others who latch onto conspiracy theories. The basic worldview, however, is the same. It's natural, but giving it too much heed is detrimental.

I guess there could be circumstances no one could control themself in.

It doesn't have to be no one; it just has to be someone. But reactions can be mitigated by appropriate follow-up behavior.

Also, you sound really angry to me. Are you?

No, not at all. I'm sorry.

Oh no, I said you should. I remove myself from stuff all the time. It's like, "I have five minutes to get to safety or I'm going to do something I will regret later." It's kind of finny in hindsight. Granted, I think almost everything in my life in funny in hindsight.

Naw, I only believe in self-government. I can't control anybody else and I shouldn't try to. I can offer advice or question actions, but not try to control others. Down that path leads to becoming a monster.

*shrug* I just feel like there wasn't any follow up positive behavior. Maybe I'm wrong. OP didn't go into too much detail. But damn, the whole poem? Like, how long did they sit there and laugh?

Don't apologize. It's okay. As I said, I'm really bad at reading tone on the internet. That's why I checked. It's better to check than just assume. And besides, now I feel a lot better knowing you're not mad. :)
