Notes:

Important: I'm really sorry about this, but I accidentally misclicked and deleted the submission post from last week instead of saving it. Managed to save the first page (25) of secrets, but the rest (about 100 or so) are gone.

If you submitted something last week (Aug 26-Sept 1), please resubmit it here.

The submissions post for next week is below as usual.

Secrets Left to Post: ?? pages, ??? secrets from Secret Submission Post #296.

I'm so annoyed at my workplace right now. We're in rehearsals for a show opening soon, and the schedule tends to change, so usually we get an e-mail saying when everyone is called for the next day. Yesterday, me and the rest of wardrobe did not receive an e-mail, so we didn't come in today. Cue a surprised rehearsal report saying gosh, there was no one from wardrobe today. No shit, dumbasses, you forgot to tell us to come in.

This reminds me of a miscommunication incident with my quintet. We discussed the potential change in our location the week before with our coach but we couldn't get the location we wanted until the day of. So, we immediately emailed our coach after we booked the new location and left a voice mail message (it was a long-distance call and the coach didn't pick up the phone). We also texted our coach and left a note with the building's administrative staff.

Our coach went to our old rehearsal location and left after half an hour because nobody showed up.

The good thing is that this never happened again.

Shit happens. Hopefully the people in charge of the schedule have learned their lesson. Good luck on your show!

Aw, see, in your case it looks like it was a totally innocent mistake. In the case of my job, it's because communication has been FUBAR since about three days into rehearsal and everyone's...well, let's put it this way. I just got a text today from my supervisor on costume design saying that he was walking, so I'm now the only person in wardrobe on the show. And we open in two days. Thanks for the well wishes, though!

You can put in "wardrobe manager" on your resumé now?

Break a leg! (but not really breaking legs)
