Notes:
Important: I'm really sorry about this, but I accidentally misclicked and deleted the submission post from last week instead of saving it. Managed to save the first page (25) of secrets, but the rest (about 100 or so) are gone.
If you submitted something last week (Aug 26-Sept 1), please resubmit it here.
The submissions post for next week is below as usual.
Secrets Left to Post: ?? pages, ??? secrets from Secret Submission Post #296.
Secrets Not Posted: [ 0 - broken links ], [ 0 - not!secrets ], [ 0 - not!fandom ], [ 0 - too big ], [ 0 - repeat ].
Current Secret Submissions Post: here.
Suggestions, comments, and concerns should go here.

When I was in high school, there was a gay guy in our creative writing classes who was absolutely obsessed with this really fairytale idea of gay romance as this... upperclass elite kind of thing. His attempts to present himself as some kind of modern teenage Wilde were... painful.
We read one of his poems, about looking at a guy he had a crush on at the beach or something, and the most descriptive line was, I shit you not,
"Dorian Gray you could mistake him for."
Of course, none of us knew who Dorian Gray was, so we were all like "Okay, what are you even saying?"
But beyond that, I'm pretty sure that tortures meter even if your poem doesn't actually use it.
None of us laughed in his face, though. Clearly fancying himself Mr. Victorian Luxurious Intellectual Libertine was his kink, and he only inflicted it on us when we read his poems for assignments, so whatever.
(He was also pretty amusingly judgy about other people's kinks for someone who was very clearly into his own fantasy of Perfect, Brilliant Gayness.)
