I thought the same thing about the comic, but Becky Cloonan announced at Comic-Con that she was doing the art! She even mentions working on it now and then on her Twitter.

Most of the stuff I've seen is tied up with MCR, but there are a bunch of Ask Killjoys Tumblrs around (my favorite is defunct now, but if you haven't read askpoison, you definitely should), and poking around the Killjoys tag on AO3 should give you a place to start.
