Nah, you're not ruining anything. The only thing that would bug me if the majority of games couldn't be played without the multiplayer option.

(Though I must admit it pissed me of somewhat if X-Box games have achievements for multiplayer things,because I have like this completionist neurosis).

I agree. This is reminding me of how upset I was when I learned you couldn't get the 'best' ending to ME3 without multiplayer. I think it's been patched now, but I don't have LIVE on my 360.

That said, single player campaigns are what I game for, so I don't personally get not being interested in them; however, everyone's different, so if you don't want story then...you don't have to have it.

Totes agreed on multiplayer achievements. I'm a completionist myself and it drives me up the wall when I see those. I had to give up on MW2 because there were some things I just could not fucking do because I don't have an extra life to spend developing amazing FPS skills. >.

...I don't recall there being any multiplayer achievements in MW2? There were some Spec Ops ones, but you can play that offline or by yourself if you want.

Hm, I must be thinking of some other FPS. Although I wasn't a fan of Spec Ops missions either.

This. I'm currently playing Portal 2 and it drives me up the wall that I need to play co-op to get all the achievements, and I haven't played multiplayer in my life, so I don't know how to even begin to play in that mode) :(

Yeah, I'm so nervous... I don't want to annoy people with my inexperience, so I don't play with strangers, but I don't have any friends who play, so... stupid situation.
