(Anonymous) 2012-09-06 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)For me it's talking in foreign languages I can't understand, and giggling: there's this raging paranoid part of my mind that can't help but think people are mocking me.
Also, working plumbing; not the water splashing down, just the pipes groaning when the water runs through.
All this made living with a foreign roommate and her freeloading boyfriend last year quite hard. They would have loud sex in the bathroom right next to my bedroom, have a good laugh, take a shower, and chat loudly again at ungodly times in the night when I was trying to sleep, my pillow over my head and my ears itching like mad. Ah, those were weird times...
