I had a PC game when I was little where you could raise monsters. It was only a demo so it didn't have all the necessities they needed to survive. It was fun, but when I saw the health bar almost drained I never played it again because I knew it would be dead the next time I got on. :(

I guess it makes it more interesting if you know you can't keep it forever, but still....
