Oh, I have a doozey. So much so, that I am going anon on this least she find this and stalk me.

This was not so much a roommate but the girlfriend of a roommate who decided to move in with us. (I held the lease and nothing was discussed with me. Just one day out of the blue she started living with us.)

She was one of those "enlightened" upper middle class, white girls. (YES! She had actual pony!) She was always marching and going to protests on behalf of POCs because she would say how down trodden and defenseless they were. And how she as a privileged white had to show that not all whites were bad. Of course, I am for equal rights but the way she went about it was the most condescending, borderline racist way. Like POCs couldn't succeed without the help of as she saw it all powerful, obviously smarter, whitey. (*facepalm*) She was a vegetarian. I was not. She would always hound me on how could I eat so much meat. Didn't I know what cattle farming was doing to the rainforests? And how can I be so cruel to animals or anything of Mother Nature. (Yeah, like Ma Nature wouldn't tear me to shreds if given the chance. Hello, Black Plague.) Even worse, I like to take two showers a day. One in the morning before I go to work, to wake me up and help me get ready for the day. And one at night after I come home feeling gross and sticky. She would go on how much water I wasting. And how I was so inconsiderate because, "There are people out there who don't even have water."

Then she started taking over my computer because I had it in the living room. She had ask at first if she could use it because she was going to school and needed for for homework. I said, "Sure." Pandora's box. She spent more time than off. (Oh, did I mention she didn't have a job so she spent most of the day lounging around the apartment? No? Now, I have.) She then started to put on file sharing programs on my computer and before I knew it my music library was filled with her good awful taste in music. Then out of the blue, she comes up to me and says, "Hey, if you want, I'll split you with the cost of an ink cartridge." Little did I know she had been using the printer all this time. There was a full, fresh cartridge before she came around. She had used it all. Mind you those cartridges at the time were $30+. And she wanted me to split the cost of a new one. I told her flat out that I wasn't going to get a new one. Oh, the look of death on her face she gave me when I said that. I remember that look until the day I die.

She would leave dirty clothes every where. Including her dirty thongs. (*SCREAMING*)

She was also an artist as was I. I preferred the more realistic styles of David, Sargent as well most of the painters of the Renaissance. She was an abstract painter. Her art consisted of pressing tea bags and things of the natural world like leaves and dirt, she would find while going outside and pressing them against the canvass. Not my style but art is art, right? Not to her. She would always comment on how my art was lower than hers because I was not "truly being free" with myself "and being expressive." She would always try to making me stop doing my style and follow hers.

Oh, I am surprised I didn't need stitches over the number times I bit my tongue.

I tolerated her because 1) I liked the roommate and 2) at that time I had poor self-esteem issues and 3)because I had poor self-esteem issues it never occurred to me to kick her out or yell at my roommate to control his horrible excuse of human being girlfriend.

Luckily, their relationship ended two months later.

God, I wish I would have kicked her teeth in.

that is not bad at all. like, beyond her opinions that you simply disagreed with, what did she even do that was so bad? use up an ink cartridge?

if she printed out a shitload of stuff and used up the ink cartridge, she should have replaced it herself instead of "splitting it"

also she shouldn't have spent so much time on the person's computer

She was being emotionally abusive to the OP. Easy thing to miss, I know, but constantly belittling someone's opinions and actions? That's wrong. Even if you disagree with them, it's still wrong.

No one should have live with someone who does that to them, particularly a not free-loader.

You wouldn't mind someone leaving their dirty underwear all over the apartment? Yeah, try walking down the halls without stepping on someone's used thong. You wouldn't mind someone harassing you while you trying to eat your lunch to tell you that you are horrible person for eating meat? You wouldn't mind someone messing with your computer and hogging it up that you couldn't do your own work because, "THIS PAPER IS DUE AND IT'S VERY IMPORTANT! More so than anything you could possibly have" which happened practically every day. You wouldn't mind them not putting a dime for anything they used? Oh, yeah, she didn't pitch in for rent or utilities because she didn't consider herself an actual roommate because had a room waiting for her in her parent's house which she could go at any time she wanted. (Which she never did.)

Then fine, you are a better person than me.
