My roommate during my senior year in college liked to sleep with the window open. During the winter season. In New England. While she would close it at my request, when she thought I was asleep she would open it again.

Eventually I went to the RA for help and got things sorted out, but still, it sucked waking up in the middle of the night absolutely freezing. :(

Mine in my first year turned off the heat whenever I tried to turn it on. We lived in res--there were no utilities.

And it was in Alberta. Negative 40 degrees Celsius.
