Overall my freshman roommate and I were just really incompatible personalities, but there were a few things that really upset me. The worst was when she had sex on our floor while I was away and in the process broke a windchime I'd hung from the door that my grandmother gave me, and also left a condom wrapper on my desk. She denied everything when I confronted her, wtf?

She also, hilariously, refused to believe I wasn't sleeping with any male friend I brought over -- even after I came out to her, although admittedly as bi -- and she would get really weird and passive-aggressive about it even though we were literally always just watching television.

Reminds me of the time I left for my parents' one weekend and my roommate did it with her boyfriend on my bed. How did I know? Because I folded my blanket in a very specific way and whoever re-folded it didn't line up the pattern properly.

And there was dried semen on my blanket.

Both the roommate and the boyfriend tried to feign ignorance. Like, WTF? I'm not stupid!

I don't get the denying it at all. I was like "...I am holding an OPENED CONDOM WRAPPER, where do you think it came from???"

My ex is (was?) a heavy gamer. He would "forget" to eat or do dishes and take out the garbage. Once he left the dishes in the sink for so long that each dish had their own pocket of mold and the garbage bin housed a fly colony. The rest of his place wasn't much better.

I knew he hadn't cleaned in a while so I didn't find out how bad thing were until he finally agreed to go on a cleaning spree with me. Face it, he wasn't going to bother doing anything otherwise and he said so himself (I left the dishes for you~). He was a sarcastic funny fuck but I'm glad I don't have to deal with his shit anymore.

Ugh, my very first university roommate was like that. We'd ended up with a room on what was usually an all-male floor and so most of my friends were guys because they were the people I saw most, you know? But my roommate, who had a list of self-esteem issues like you wouldn't believe, bad-mouthed me to all the girls, calling me a slut and accusing me of fucking all the guys while she was in the room. Which was a lie because a) I had a boyfriend I'd never cheat on, and b) I never even had sex with him in our room.

I lived in that residence for two more years and never did get most of the girls to trust me, even long after the roommate and the first batch had moved out.
