I don't have a clue what you are talking about...
It's obvious I'm referring to people who have no reason not to be able to donate, if you can't make it because you are busy keeping your place to live is a completely justified reason :/

And yeah, I'm judgey but when we are talking about people lives vs a little discomfort... though I'm not saying it should be compulsory or anything like that. Of course everybody has the right to choose to be an asshole (and then I can judge them for it :)

Really? 'cause um...the way you were talking that would fall under 'lazy' or 'self absorbed'.

Frankly, it does suck when people choose to not donate. However, judging people isn't exactly cool either. So, thanks, but I think I'll judge you for judging someone's choices as far as what happens with their body.

i think if you opt not to undergo a minimally invasive procedure that could save the lives of fellow human beings over something silly like you don't "feel" like going slightly out of your way to visit a blood center, then people have a right to judge you. it's like any other donation; if you're entirely capable - financially, work schedule-wise, etc.) and opt out of it for no real reason then people are going to give you the stink eye. that's a consequence of the choice you are making.

this reminds me of people who don't want to donate their organs or tissue because "i came into the world with it, i'll leave with it," "i just don't really want to," "i'll doing it later (never)," etc. if you have the resources and time to benefit humanity and you pass on the opportunity, you may want to reevaluate your values. bodily privacy or not, donation is the right thing to do.
