Part of me is sad they didn't get "married" but the bigger part of me is happy because if they had AJ wouldn't be general manager, Daniel wouldn't have been ordered to go through anger management with Kane, and all the hilariousness wouldn't have happened.

So, OP, I have to say that I am loving the dynamics between Daniel Bryan and Kane way too much to be too sad that Daniel and AJ didn't get fake married.
