Translation: Hardcore gamers like me are the only gamers that matter. People who pour their lives into World of Warcraft and The Sims don't count as gamers because those games aren't hard. In fact, almost no games are that hard anymore therefor, anybody who plays modern video games doesn't count as a gamer at all regardless of how much time and effort they put into it.
