Yeah, this, to a T.
You change, the world changes, nothing wrong about it.
And it has nothing to do with being "too old for fandom", but you simply want other things.

I figure OP's problem with it is more that it means they don't get as much to talk about with their fandom friends, and that can be an issue.
But you may find other things to talk about. And you may not, and the relationships may fade away.
And either way, there is nothing wrong with that, either...

It takes two to tango, but it also takes a music to dance it to.
