Pretty sure OP means crossover fics, like for example the Avengers being Hogwarts students. Like high school AUs, just set in Hogwarts.

...And now I want to read an Avengers Hogwarts AU.

I haven't found any good fics on this crossover though, sadly. Any recs? Anyone? Because I mean the characters line up a little TOO perfectly to let the opportunity pass by.

I could see Slytherin or Ravenclaw. I think there are a lot of characters out there that could arguably fit into any of the houses though. It's hard to box people in like that. I always thought it was pretty funny when people would lose their shit arguing about how one character couldn't possibly be a slytherin/ravenclaw/hufflepuff/gryffindor though (like the Erik wank someone mentioned below. Good times)

I always thought Ravenclaw since he's a smarty, but Slytherin would work too. Even Gryffindor! I can't see him as a Puff at all tbh.

No, I can't either. Steve is 100% Hufflepuff, though. (Not just because it's the "throwaway" house either, I think he genuinely has a lot of good Huff qualities.)

I'm learning to love Hufflepuff, since I got Sorted there. At first I was pretty disappointed but decided not to be a dick about it and embrace it. I wanted Slytherin, actually. Plus, badgers are cool. Not as cool as snakes, which are literally one of my favorite animals, but pretty damn awesome in their own right.

Agreed. Tony could go to one of many houses, but most of the others are pretty firm: Steve to Hufflepuff, Tasha and Loki are Slytherin, Thor is Gryffindor to the max, Bruce is Ravenclaw. I wonder what Clint would be though... probably Hufflepuff, he's got the loyal and hardworking thing down.

Agreed 100% on Bruce and Thor. I actually put both Natasha and Clint in Gryffindor, but I can see Tasha going to Slytherin just as easily. Clint I wasn't as sure of. I could see him in any of them except Slytherin, actually.

Tony really seems Slytherin to me but Ravenclaw is just as good a shot. Actually, I had this whole AU outlined for them where Tony was in Slytherin and made friends with Loki but later ended up befriending Bruce and Loki got all butthurt and started blowing shit up or whatever. I could find the details and tell you if you like. =3

The thing with Clint is that in the movie!verse we don't really know much about him, so it's kinda hard to peg him. Natasha's wiliness is what makes me think she'd be best in Slytherin-- she's brave, sure, but her need for self-preservation and the ability to do whatever it takes to take care of number one seems more Slytherin than anything else.
