I feel like Fry/Leela on Futurama was actually handled pretty well, because they both stay IC while still sort of being in a weird stay of are-they-or-aren't-they.

On the other hand I think probably the worst example of this of all time was Ross and Rachel on Friends.

YES on Fry/Leela. I love the way they're portrayed now, because their relationship isn't the sole focus of the episode but it's pretty obvious they're actually together. And then we get a whole episode where their relationship is the main storyline and it always ends up being adorable.

Basically, I can't contain my feelings for Fry/Leela...
