There was something about him dragging it out of a fire...?

Maybe either a) he didn't know it was made of Indesructium, and/or wanted to make sure, or b) there was the danger of it getting buried as time moved on. B is kinda flimsy so I'm guessing A.

I thought it was sort of interesting, myself. The dynamic, at least.... Sigh. I dunno. It was shiny and I liked it and now the shine has worn off and it's still shaped the same. At least Matt Smith gives it his all, he's captivating as the Doctor.
