Re: Will-They-Won't-They TV couples
(Anonymous) 2012-09-09 12:38 am (UTC)(link)First, Duchovny and Anderson are both really talented performers, and also very attractive - Anderson is gorgeous and I have to admit that Duchovny is a v handsome man. And I think that both of those things really help.
Second, the Will-They-Won't-They took a really long time to become explicit. For the most part, they let it simmer, in the background of cases while other plots were going on; they would often do things, usually subtle or small things, that were very clearly influenced by attraction but not explicitly because of or indicative of, which is something I really love and which I think is a dope way to do this, and very realistic - the attraction between them is just a fact that influences their actions and provides motivation from the deep background.
