Well, I'm not going to write up that summary, just give a bit of perspective.

Andrew Hussie is known for "Making character you'd hate, then making you love them" That's kind of his thing.

The original trolls tended to be aspects of the internet that were annoying beyond their typing quirks in some way subtle or blatant.

The Ancestor trolls in particular seem to be Tumblr related. And while some find the caricature more offensive and some funnier, Kankri is very obviously supposed to be a dig at the SJW.

As for the typing quirks...

iF YOU, uHH, rEAD IT LONG ENOUGH I THINK, yOU KNOW, yOU GET USED TO IT.

Yes, I know about Hussie's thing with the trolls. And I know you get used to the typing quirks. Again, Kankri's typing quirk really isn't why I can't understand what he's talking about. It's because his sentences are so long and boring and full of ridiculous words.

Oh yeah. Well, that's pretty much exactly what the character was meant to be, I think.

As much as we don't want to admit it, Homestuck is not for everybody.

Hahaha. This is why I think people shouldn't read too much into Kankri. He's supposed to be an obnoxious, long-winded prat. If he says something insensitive, that's just part of his troll stereotype, you know? It's not Hussie being a douche, it's Hussie being his usual genius self.

It certainly doesn't help with that font, though. I can read the 6 as b well enough by itself but when you throw it in with the 9 for o and the bright red text, its probably one of the hardest quirks to read, up there with overly-excited Feferi.

And Latula's t4k1ng t3r3z1's qu1rk without the allcaps doesn't work so well either. :S YOU DON'T 3V3N NOT1C3 1T 4FT3R 4 WH1L3 NORM4LLY since they match their letter versions more closely.
