This little spider is Heliophanus kochii, and it lives around South Europe and the Mediterranean as welll as in Israel. I don't really have much information about it, but it's still a pretty cute small thing, regardless!

Pretty much because people used to eat them like snacks. It was a very Roman thing to do for example.

Oh, I'm aware that the Romans used to eat them. Doesn't make me any less o_0 at the name, though.
