Same! I was rewatching the episode where he tells her his poison oak story and shipped it so hard. My problem is that Daryl is my TWD ship bicycle so Daryl/Andrea doesn't take up much more space in my head than Daryl/everyone else.

I'm not big on fic, but boy I would LOVE fic of rough sex between these two, with her belittling his intelligence just a bit. <3

Because Andrea's a self-absorbed bitch? I hate her because of that "smug know it all" expression she wore all season 2.

Plus, wtf telling Beth to kill herself if she wanted? Like she was in a mental state to make a decision like that!

So glad you've never been suicidal. Andrea was the only person that saw that if Beth was going to kill herself she was going to do it no matter what anyone said and that LYING to the girl wasn't going to help matters.

Would you rather Andrea be whimpering in the corner for the big strong men to protect her? Her and Maggie are the only women on the show even trying to do shit. Carol didn't even search for her own kid.

And before you ask? I ship Andrea/Rick. I think Daryl needs to learn how to be an adult on his own terms before he gets involved with anyone.

Because Andrea was canonly involved with Shane? And Daryl implied to potentially be interested in Carol?

When the fuck has canon ever mattered in random shipping?

While there's certainly nothing wrong with shipping Andrea/Shane or Daryl/Carol, that doesn't mean you can't ship Daryl/Andrea (fandom is all about the non-canon shipping after all) Also, Andrea/Shane didn't strike me as a couple so much as two people who slept together a few times and Daryl/Carol reads more like friendship/found family than anything romantic or sexual.

Somehow I don't think Andrea/Shane is going to work out.

Andrea fucked Shane once on a high from killing zombies and considering Daryl was protecting himself onto Sophia I don't think sex is what he wants from Carol.

I get why it is. It kind of rubs a lot different factions wrong. Neither of them is terribly hot, so you lose the "for the pretty" shippers there. It's het, so that loses the slashers, it involves a redneck guy who has all kinds of problematic attitudes towards women, which loses a lot of feminists. It's got a female character who is alternately bland enough to be boring and miserable enough to be annoying without quite crossing the line to being a dynamic character. Their canon relationship is not fluffy enough to attract the WAFFers but not fucked up enough to attract the non-conners.

So... yeah, I can totally see why people would ship it in theory and but there wouldn't spark the excitement needed to generate actual fic.

I can see it. They're probably my faves, so I like it just because of that.

But also like anon upthread said about people not usually shipping het really.

It's a het ship like several other people have pointed out. And Norman might be very very attractive to some of us but the dirt caked onto Daryl can be off putting for some people. Though Andrea? Has anyone seen Laurie in Silent Hill in those leather pants? Unf.

I can understand where Andrea might put some people off, its hard for some people to understand a character that's been suicidal for some people.

Yeah, it's probably the vagina. Glenn/Daryl has had about the same amount of screen time as Daryl/Andrea (and less significant interaction) and they're probably the most popular ship on the show.
