The woman who collected from me pushed the needle in too far, puncturing the vein on both sides. It was fine while I was donating (hurt more than I remembered, but everything seemed okay), but afterwards I couldn't stop bleeding. It took something like three pieces of gauze and a cold towel pressed against the puncture for about ten minutes after I finished donating for the blood to finally clot. My arm hurt like hell last night when I got home, and this morning I could hardly walk because I was so lethargic. I've donated blood before, and it's never been this bad.
