I don't really think that's too entitled... usually people feel entitled for wanting reviews and comments, don't they? And giving kudos is probably the easiest possible way to show appreciation, all you have to do is click once. Much like a like on tumblr. Perhaps they feel it's unnecessary to like it twice. Maybe you should add a comment to your fic links or something saying that you would love to get kudos more than you would like tumblr likes? idk.
