You guys, I'm still getting angry anon messages from Sandor/Sansa shippers for the horrible crimes of my saying "lol k" and that it wasn't a canon ship.

I think the internet needs to stop talking about the tinhattery of Harmonians and get on this Sansan thing quick, because my god. It *isn't* canon!

Oh my God, I hate portmanteau names and they are all over the Teen Wolf fandom. And I love Derek/Stiles – read and write it, but do I want it to canon? Not really. I would rather have Danny/Jackson or Danny/any-male-who-isn’t-onscreen-for-just-two-seconds and have Stiles be an actual bisexual ( I know a relationship with Derek wouldn’t preclude this, but honestly I’m worried that unless they really develop his bisexuality before he gets into any relationship, they’ll end up implying or outright stating ‘Nope, he’s gay – Lydia was just him lying to himself’ or ‘Nope, he’s straight – look how hung up he is/was on Lydia’).

Yeah, teen shows tend to fall into the "bisexuality is just a phase" trap, which sucks.

I'm still not over the awful namesmooshing in Buffy fandom. I was glad that there wasn't much of it in HP fandom, but dear god, when it exists, it burns.

Uhh, what? There was quite a bit of it in HP fandom: Snarry, Drarry, Snaco, Snupin, Dramione, Snermione or Snanger, etc

I think that maybe since there were like 80 billion characters it just seems like less overall?

Namesmushes fill me with second-hand embarrassment, especially when someone's passionately making big analytical arguments for it and/or wanking about it. I'm sorry, but I'm just not going to be able to take what you're saying seriously if you keep saying the word "Spuffy" while philosophizing about morality and redemption.

I like some cute, silly nicknames for ships? I'm not as fond of namesmushes, but stuff like "Rocketshipping" still makes me grin when I see it.

Rocketshipping is indeed cute and I highly approve.

Johnlock on the other hand. . .eurgh.
