There are certain Southern accents that I have a hard time tolerating, like North Carolina men's accents (and it really is only the men) and whatever Paula Deen has (though mostly it's her gratuitous use of y'all that irks me). Some are very cultured and beautiful, though, just as some are redneck as all get out. It really depends. There are so many variations. Hell, I was watching the news the other day. A man from a nearby city had an accent that sounded completely different from anything where I live.
