(Anonymous) 2012-09-12 05:50 am (UTC)(link)I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology... and we went over the bare details of Freud, as a history lesson type thing, but we were also told that there is simply no way to validate his theories. The field of psychology has moved on from that.
Where are you studying? It sounds like they REALLY need to update their psych courses!

(Anonymous) 2012-09-12 02:01 pm (UTC)(link)We study everything as if it was true, whole classes talking about dunno the Oedipus complex and how the little her wants a phallus and nonsense like that but the teachers believe that, and it's just ridiculous. But to me it's even more disgusting to hear my classmates saying how true it is and when the ones who hate him (thankfully I know many xD) say something they reply we don't understand or we are prudes who dislike talking about sex and things like that :/
