But doesn't the problem arise when women are only portrayed positively in that one certain way..?

I mean wow, why are you so upset when pretty much every female to ever exist on television is ALWAYS pretty and ALWAYS girly and ALWAYS big-boobied and ALWAYS--

y'know what nevermind, I guess only pretty girls who don't cover their hair and have a great body and great faces are the only ones allowed to have adventures and be main characters.

No wonder when people try to see some change, the pretty girly girls get so gosh darn upset.

First: I'm not what society would consider pretty, not even remotely so. I'm merely somewhat feminine with a large bust.

Second: Do you even watch Adventure Time? The only particularly girly bipedal main character on Adventure Time (that is, until Flame Princess but she isn't exactly pink) is Bubblegum, who frankly kicks a lot of ass and seems to prefer labcoats to dresses. Adventure Time actually has a diversity of female character types. I haven't seen anyone even remotely like Marceline on a show aimed at kids for a long time, for example. Usually "girl who plays guitar" looks more like fucking Hannah Montana.

I'm angry that people are overreacting to the presence of a girl in a skirt with boobs in the context of what's already a very diverse and positive show.

'course I watch the show, I was just saying that Fiona, Bubblegum, Marceline & Flame Princess are all meant to be attractive. That's why they have such simply drawn faces, instead of distinguishing features that might actually be considered unattractive. (Plus LSP is pretty much the shallow butt of most jokes whenever she's around, though heaven forbid if there are some episodes that I haven't actually seen)

Plus in most shows, again, its usually the pretty ones who get to be main characters, or get to be shown in a positive light. I didn't mean to sound as if Adventure Time was only about hot girls or something.

Anyway, sorry if I flew off the handle there. Its not like I was mad at you or your comment, I was just upset because every time I see someone try to talk about problematic elements with the fanfic episode, (or if I talk about ANY SHOW that has women in it) its usually the pretty/big-boobied/girly/Iwearskirts/etc girls who always get upset when bringing up anything because they think we're trying to shame them for the way they are, when we're not. (Heck I have big boobs myself!)
